What are teaching and learning approaches? •Approaches to teaching and learning Being self-directed and responsible for own learning. •Having existing experiences which can draw from to inform current learning. •Being motivated to learn especially when able to see the direct relevance of what is being learning and able to recognise why they need to know something. •Being able to problem solve. In Teaching Social Studies it has six(6) different Approaches. 1. Constructivist Approach          This approach is based on the assumption that the students come with entry knowledge and skills. Identifying a competency where you can see moral dilemma as a teaching technique. But before we start lets find out what is a moral dilemma ?  A  moral dilemma  is a situation in which a person is torn between right and wrong. ... Some  examples  of  moral dilemmas  include:   •  A teacher must handle Filipino, Science and English, though the teacher was an english major but needed to teach another major. • The teachers Pet ( Fairness)  , John was a sophomore and he joined the quiz bee audition but he heard rumors that the teacher already choose students and did not have the audition , it makes him feel conflicted and think how  unfair it was. This is a helpful case to get kids to talk about dilemmas they know are unfair when the odds are stacked in their favor.  In such a dilemma, choosing one moral will result in violating another; or, doing one thing could bring positive results but is morally wrong.

"Why should we study Social Studies ?  "How important it is in our daily lives ? 😊 Nowadays many of us spend more time on gadgets rather than books . I dont know if its just me or what , but  since I was in highschool  I literally dont like social studies , It’s not– the way it’s traditionally been taught is boring. Didn’t you hate history class when you were in school, memorizing all those meaningless dates and names and places? At the beginning of the school year, not one of my classmates typically names social studies as his/her favorite subject, and most students don’t even understand what the subject is about. That breaks our teachers  heart, and then she shared her thoughts ,knowledge, understanding , and those experienced that she'd been through . And at that time we didnt realized that we're enjoying the scenario that our teacher gave on us , and then we realize social studies is not that boring , I mean it can widen the mind of a students like...
